This Privacy Policy explains how Tangier Dreams ("we," "us," or "our") handles information for the mobile application
**Chess Notation Trainer** (`com.tangierdreams.chess.notation.trainer`). We are committed to collecting minimal data necessary
for the operation of the app and to protecting your privacy.
1. Data We Collect Directly
**We do not collect any personally identifiable information.** The only data we collect directly is for the global leader board and is not linked to an individual user account or device ID:

**Important Note on Local Data:** The App saves individual user high scores and progress data **only on your local device** using shared preferences. This data is not transmitted or stored by us.
2. Information Collected by Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services for advertising and app performance analysis. These services collect information directly from your device under their own privacy policies.
A. Google AdMob (Advertising)
- **Service Provider:** Google LLC (AdMob)
- **Data Collected:** Device identifiers (like Android Advertising ID), device information (model, OS), IP address, and usage information. This data is used to serve advertisements, measure performance, and prevent fraud.
- **User Consent (EEA/UK):** When you first open the App, we use the **Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK** to obtain your legally required consent regarding the use of your data for Personalized Ads. Your choice is honored when serving ads.
B. Google Analytics (App Usage Analysis)
- **Service Provider:** Google LLC (Google Analytics)
- **Data Collected:** Anonymous Usage Data, including features used, session duration, and crash logs. It also collects non-identifying device information (OS version, device identifiers).
- **Purpose:** To analyze app performance, identify bugs, and understand how users engage with the App so we can improve the training experience.
C. Supabase (Backend Service)
- **Service Provider:** Supabase, Inc.
- **Purpose:** Used as our database provider to securely store and aggregate the anonymous Country and Score Data (as described in Section 1). Supabase processes this data strictly as our data processor.
3. Data Retention and Security
We retain the anonymous country and aggregate score data for as long as the App is available and you continue to use it. We employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data we control; however, no internet transmission or electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
4. Your Rights and Choices
- **In-App Score Deletion:** The App includes a **"Delete Score"** button. Using this function **removes the local score data** saved in Shared Preferences on your device. Since points contributed to the global country score were immediately combined and made anonymous, those historical, aggregated contributions cannot be individually removed.
- **Revoking Ad Consent:** You can access the Google consent dialogue to change or withdraw your consent regarding personalized ads at any time within the App's **\[Insert Name of Settings/Privacy Button]** menu.
- **Data Deletion (Local):** If you uninstall the App, the local score data saved in shared preferences will be deleted from your device.
