Flippy Pairs Memory Trainer (`com.tangierdreams.flippy_pairs`)

This Privacy Policy explains how TangierDreams ("we," "us") manages data for the
**Flippy Pairs Memory Trainer** application. We detail the collection of anonymous user identifiers, usage data, and game statistics
necessary to provide competitive rankings and improve the application.
1. Identifiers and Usage Data
A. Anonymous Device Identifier (UUID)
- **Data Collected:** Upon launching the application for the first time, a unique, random identifier (UUID v4) is generated and stored locally in the device's Shared Preferences.
- **Purpose:** This ID is used exclusively for tracking unique usage, preventing score fraud, and linking your game statistics to the database (Supabase) **without requiring any real personal information**.
B. Alias / Username
- **Data Collected:** We prompt for an alias (a name of your choosing) upon first use. This name is stored locally and transmitted to our backend.
- **Purpose:** This alias is the name publicly displayed on the leaderboards. By entering and submitting an alias, you consent to its public display alongside your game statistics.
2. Geolocation Data Collection and Use
We utilize a third-party service to determine the geographic location of your application usage, which is necessary for the **Country Ranking** feature.
- **Service Used:** ipinfo.io.
- **Data Collected:** Your IP address, country code, and city are determined upon using the app.
- **Storage:** This information is stored both **locally** (Shared Preferences) and in our Supabase database upon game completion (see Section 3).
- **Purpose:** The country code is used to display the "Country Ranking" and for aggregated geographic usage analysis.
3. Data Stored for Competitive Rankings (Supabase)
***Crucial Note on Anonymity:*** Data stored in Supabase is strictly **non-personal**. The anonymous UUID **cannot** be linked back to any real-world identity, specific device hardware, or person. We only use this UUID internally to maintain leaderboard integrity.
When a game ends, the following non-personal record is stored in our Supabase database to facilitate competitive rankings:

**Public Data:** By submitting game scores, you agree that your **Alias**, **Country Code**, **Points Scored**, and **Record Time** may be publicly viewed by all app users on competitive leaderboards.
4. Third-Party Services and Advertising
- **A. Google AdMob (Advertising):** We use AdMob to display Banner and Interstitial advertisements. AdMob collects data such as device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID) and IP addresses to serve personalized ads, limit frequency, and measure ad performance.
- **B. Google Analytics (General Usage):** We use Google Analytics for general and aggregated tracking of app usage and user behavior (e.g., session duration, number of screens viewed, OS version). This helps us improve app performance and design.
- **C. Consent Management Platform (CMP):** We are integrating a CMP (via AdMob) to comply with EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements. This platform will prompt for your consent regarding the processing of personal data for advertising purposes.
- **D. Supabase (Backend):** Used to store and manage the anonymous game statistics and ranking data described in Section 3.
- **E. ipinfo.io (Geolocation):** Used to provide country and city based on IP address for analysis and ranking features.
5. User Rights and Data Deletion
- **Right to Erasure (Deletion):** We provide a dedicated button within the Application that allows you to **delete all your records** (all entries tied to your UUID) from the Supabase database at any time. This action removes your scores from public rankings.
- **Local Data Deletion:** Local data (UUID, Alias, IP/Geolocation) stored in Shared Preferences will be erased if you uninstall the application.
6. Content and Copyright (Memory Cards)
The images used for the memory cards in the application are sourced from the public domain or are designated as free-to-use for commercial purposes. While we believe all content is properly licensed, we respect intellectual property rights.
If you are the owner of any image used in the application and wish for it to be removed or replaced, please contact us immediately via the email address listed in Section 7. We will process your request and update the image asset promptly.
